Review on GenieMaster GM3T-R: Universal Remote for Genie Garage Door 🧞 Openers since 1993 with Intellicode Technology and 9/12 Dipswitch Compatibility by Rich Rickenbaugh

This Genie remote is exactly what I was looking for! I have a Genie 9/12 pin and an Intellicode (post 1995 model) and the original remotes have become unreliable/broken. This 3-button remote not only solved the problem of hard-to-find, expensive original openers, but also eliminated the need for multiple remotes. Just as easy to set up! I programmed/assigned the buttons in less than 5 minutes. Great feel too, not bulky and clunky sounding like the original bottle openers. As I bought it with velcro in the lockable compartment of my scooter I didn't attach the visor clip. Out of curiosity, I tried the latch on my car's visor and it held up well. A NOTICE. Read the instructions before programming the remote control. UPDATE 04/25/2016: WOW! My Genie 3 Button accidentally went through a wash cycle. I almost cried when I found it throwing clothes in the dryer. Well it didn't look damaged at all like I thought it would. Do not press any keys, remove the battery and leave the device open for a few days to allow it to dry completely. To my surprise, I put the battery back in 48 hours later and it worked! I couldn't believe it! I had to reprogram a button (although it's easy) but it works fine. I MUST SAY. What a well made product!
