this stuff is great. First off let me say that I have the flattest hair and this has helped me be as good or even better than anything else I've tried for volume. Let me tell you a little more: you may initially appear crunchy as you dry your hair. it won't make it greasy or oily, but it will make you feel like you have hairspray or something slightly crunchy at your roots. it also made my hair a bit stiffer in the front where I applied more - that's good! Hair should be coarser in texture to add volume as soft, silky hair tends to be less voluminous. - After styling (I used heat for curls/waves) the rough or crunchy surface is not visible or looks weird. It helped me blow dry completely inside out and I got the look I really wanted with more volume at the roots - use liberally! It may seem strange, but use more, not less!
