Maybe I expected too much?

I'm a bit confused that I either expected too much or my device is a little "wrong" compared to what others say about the efficiency of their devices. The bottom line is that this keeps my towels warm for about 15-30 seconds after they come out of the heating pad. The towels don't seem to heat up enough to stay warm. When I used a t-shirt, hoodie, or towel straight out of the dryer. warmly wrapped, how warm and cuddly for a few minutes. Maybe I expected too much, but in my opinion the thing takes up too much space on the bathroom floor, looks a bit unsightly (like a diaper pail in a public restroom) due to the possible 20 seconds of heat from the towel! I tried putting on a blanket, bathrobe, jeans or t-shirt, socks, and underwear during separate tests, using only towels. 15-20 minutes does very little and during that time the outside of the towel/clothing will feel slightly warm and the inside not touching the sides will be cool to the touch. A full 60 minutes means more heat, but after 30 seconds it returns to normal. After reading other reviews I'm scratching my head as to why this isn't the same great experience as theirs. according to this thermometer it was 112-115 degrees. Probably enough to warm you up a bit, but not enough to heat a thick towel all over. I really, really wanted to enjoy it, but I don't have time in the morning to build this up 60 minutes before a shower with only 30 seconds of warm towels. It just seems like a waste of power. If 2 towels are put in it, it seems that it warms better than one. It's the same with clothing. When a towel, bathrobe, etc. comes in contact with the warm metal sides for 60 minutes, the contents appear to get warmer than if they were simply placed in the center to be exposed to 115 degree air. I will also say that you need to place this away from the water source, next to the outlet. So if you're running around the bathroom soaking wet to get to it and opening it up before wiping it down, it's also going to hurt if it means laying a warm towel down for 30 seconds - a trade-off for a wet bathroom floor. What I like is that it turns off automatically after 60 seconds, so someone doesn't have to spend all day at work wondering if they left the device on all day. and that, apart from a few clicks, it's relatively quiet in operation. The appearance does not feel very hot, which is comfortable and safe. Overall it's not what I was hoping for and I'll rather give or donate. If you want a warm towel (not hot) or bathrobe for 30 seconds to dry off with a towel and don't mind an unsightly plastic bucket with a drawstring in your bathroom, it might be worth getting. For me, my experience wasn't as great as others, but that's my honest opinion after testing the product on multiple sites in a week. Maybe my device is off, I'm having trouble keeping warm, or my towels/robes are too thick.
