We have been using this panel for several months to power our landscape lighting. It is well constructed of aluminum and tempered glass. My setup is a 20w panel, a HQRP solar controller and a Menards deep cycle marine battery. I have purchased a couple of Menards landscape lights which draw 0.3 watts of power per LED which means the battery only draws a small amount of light which is then easily replenished by the solar panel. The solar panel has two cables on the back, which you can then extend with additional cables and connect to the controller. Be sure to follow the instructions in your controller for the order of installation - failure to do so may result in damage to the device. It seems that I connected the battery to the controller first and then the solar panel to the controller. This panel charges my battery even when it's cloudy outside, and not just a little, it charges really well. Keep in mind that you will need to somehow attach the panel to the surface it will be sitting on. I ended up building a frame on the back of the panel by attaching two lengths of 1x6 boards painted with some quality outdoor latex paint with a few flimsy nuts and bolts. Holds up very well.
