I was looking for ceramic meat pie dishes. (12 ounces were too small and 16 ounces were too big.) This is the ideal serving size and wall height. [First, a word of advice on all negative label reviews. Yes, it's silly on the manufacturer's part to use a paper label with strong adhesive in this item, but you can remove it entirely and it's worth it. Carefully and patiently use your fingernail, single-edged blade, sharp chisel, or something else to remove as much paper as possible. Go slow and more will come to the beat. Then wipe away the remaining glue with a makeup remover pad or cotton swab dipped in a small amount of nail polish remover and voila! - Everyone left! Be sure to wash molds before use. Acetone does not affect the finish of porcelain. Don't forget to remove the barcode label from the bottom as well. It flakes off immediately.] These molds appear to be of high quality - a very even glaze with no noticeable pitting or voids. It has a smooth unglazed bottom with no feathers that can scratch things. I like the recessed inner top edge as it makes it easier to detach. I am very happy with it. The packaging was fine - everything arrived whole.
