HOLY COW! I put a lot of ice in this pitcher, filled it with water and left it IN THE HOT CAR for a day. It was 108 degrees outside and I'm sure it's MUCH hotter in the car. At the end of the day there was still LOTS of ice in the mug. In fact, 4 days later the ice was still there! I keep adding water too. Brilliant. I would recommend NOT to re-use this method (i.e. 4 days with no cleaning in between) BUT as an experiment to test the insulation? WOW. I figured that a large capacity would decrease its ability to maintain temperature. Not this case. I love EcoVessel stainless steel water bottles! I now have a wide range of sizes and colors :) A 24oz per family member - this lovely family pitcher and my husband's 45oz Bigfoot.
