I have a DYMO thermal label printer and I love it. However, it is connected to my desktop so it is not portable and can only print labels. I knew I needed this mini thermal printer when I saw it because it can print what I want and it's portable and doesn't require a separate ink cartridge. NEVER! You need to download the app from AppStore and it is very cool and intuitive. You can print any photo from your phone, and it also has a variety of templates to choose from to print borders or to-do lists or shopping lists. !For photo printing, it even has built-in photo editing features like brightness adjustment, cropping, filters, etc. It prints in black and white and it's a very fast print without long waiting times. The printer is compact and runs on a battery. This makes it really portable for on the go! I like the printer, but the software application is just as good. I just wish there were a few extra rolls of paper in there. I know I'll be buying more paper because it's so fun and convenient to print a ton of stuff from my smartphone, both for fun and for productivity. Best of all, you don't have to buy an ink cartridge and there's nothing to replace except paper. Easily 5 out of 5 stars. Recommend this mini printer to everyone and children who like to print from their smartphone or iPad.
