These really prefer to stay in a collapsed state. If you can get the crinkled mashed things to open, they want to slump back down unless shoved absolutely full with squishy stuff. I filled all three with my moms fleece jackets and left them out in the humid screen porch for a week to get the worst of the creases out, but once emptied they sag and don't want to stay up very well. I wanted them to be "junk drawer" type collection holders for a room that tends to get all the odd flotsam from the house, but they don't look tidy themselves and act like they will not even look like bins if left to thier own devices forfew weeks. Maybe I can use them for something somewhere in the house, but they are really not a quality product. I chose them for their dimensions.
