I ordered these steps to replace some flat, traditional style steps on my truck. Something to note, if you already have steps installed, installation may be more challenging as the bolts I had on the old steps snapped while trying to take them out which led to having to drill them out.On to these Nilight steps. Actual install was fairly simple and could be done in less than an hour without any unfortunate circumstances like I experienced. I started with the drivers side as instructed and then moved on to the passenger side. Once I took the main piece out of the package I noticed it was heavily damaged as if it had been gouged by a metal object. This gouge is on the front of the passenger step and clearly visible from the outside after installation. Keep in mind, the step was delivered sealed in foam padding so this damage clearly happened in the factory prior to shipping since nothing in the box was loose. I tried contacting Nilight immediately but they have yet to respond to my request. All I've gotten since requesting a replacement has been marketing e-mails advertising new products. I installed as is for now because I already had the other side on and I didn't want to not have steps on the passenger side.The steps feel pretty sturdy to stand on but they do bow down when stepped on. The tread on the step provides ample grip for getting in and out when wet or covered in snow. The steps sit significantly lower than the factory steps I had on previously and I really like that. These steps sit about at the halfway point between the door sill and the ground which I feel is the perfect spot. I wish the actual step was just a bit wider but it is at least well placed on both the front and back.In summary, these are pretty good steps, they are a great replacement for factory bar-style steps but shipping a product that was clearly damaged and not providing any type of resolution to the inquiry would have me shy away from purchasing from this company in the future.
