Waxed, but not much.

These were advertised as waxed laces. They are waxed, but the wax wears off quickly on any part that is handled. The upper area for tying the knot and cinching down the boot no longer had wax within two weeks. The lower part still show some wax. The laces are good flat cotton laces though and hold a knot well.

Pros

They are good for the money, seem to be good quality.

Cons

They may not be as breathable as other materials
