Review on Dometic Sealand 🚽 385311641 Water Valve Kit by Brian Wolf

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Poor construction means they break easily at low temperatures.

$34 for this little piece of plastic seems ridiculous, but you'll buy it when your toilet is out in the cold. In our case, a microcrack formed near the threaded rod, so there was a leak. We tried to drain everything as best we could but if you want my advice you can remove the whole piece for the winter - installation only takes a few minutes although I had to remove the toilet to be able to push the latch in the bottom. Luckily there are only two screws. You can dry your toilet and only use the water jug if you need it after winter operation. I just don't understand why things aren't better designed for drainage and/or freeze protection. Unless the idea is to sell a lot of $5 parts for $34.

Pros
  • Package Weight: 0.022 lbs
Cons
  • Other interesting options are available.
