Update update: I wrote a review of the previous generation of this keyboard, so Revain is limiting me to revising my previous review. No problem! I love this new keyboard! I chose it because its predecessor had served mightily for 3 years. So much so that several of the key images were obliterated. This is not a criticism: this is just how much I type, and has happened before on at least one laptop! However, typing did become cranky: inserting spaces after certain characters and the occasional decimal point. Still, I definitely got my money’s worth from that well-used keyboard! Back to the new: I’m ancient and not a genius for all things Apple, but even I managed to connect this keyboard to my iPad in minutes. I’m a super-fast typist, and this keyboard is sufficiently responsive to keep up with me. I prefer the one-piece case over the floppy case of the predecessor, and I do like the backlighting because I often type in dim light. In short, PERFECT!
