I needed to prepare an existing concrete surface for the application of QuiKrete Self-Leveling Compound. The best way to maintain a pristine surface for excellent adhesion is to "clean" the existing surface from the original pour down to uncontaminated concrete. This cup grinder did just that, quickly and easily using a 4 1/2" grinder. My six square foot job was fairly modest, but there was no noticeable wear on the diamond grinding surface. Aside from that subjective observation, my use was limited to the final one Durability rating. .
