The device "works" for simple charging (5V, 1A). ) from a USB Type-C cable to a USB-C PD charger, but that's about all you get from it. If you try to use a Thunderbolt cable with a USB PD charger, the device will not work. If you try to charge from a Macbook Pro (or other TB compatible device) using a USB-C or Thunderbolt cable, that device will not work. If you try to transfer data from a Macbook Pro using a Thunderbolt cable or USB-C cable, this device will not work. Maybe someone else has a different type, but the specific units I received are not working as advertised. .
