I love this thing! - Scanner and accessories

I am so happy with this slide scanner! It's easy, convenient, reliable and most importantly, I get great photos! I'm so glad I waited to get the one that uses the SC card. I've already scanned almost 700 slides and I'm going to watch them on my big screen TV after I've been up all night. My TV has an SC card slot and it's like watching slides on my parents' old screen in their living room. The quality of the pictures is even better than I dared hope. I also love just sitting on the couch and scanning while watching TV. It couldn't be easier. I strongly recommend using the SC card. I think it offers valuable storage space, browsing and overall usability. If there's one small thing I'd like to change, it's to increase the scan area for each slide. Some people in photos are cut off because they are too far left or right. In some cases I was able to flip the slide. I also only scanned half of the image at a time, preferring the right or left side each time I scanned. And to be honest, there were many occasions when I thought something was getting cut off, only to find it was all there when I watched the playback on my TV. In any case. . . . I have about 700 left and maybe 2200 left. My parents took LOTS of photos! Even though I have a lot of work ahead of me, I am very excited at the prospect of doing it. It's good to be able to transfer those precious photos to a more accessible mode where you can save them and enjoy them again. Once I've scanned them all, I can upload them to my computer and distribute the photos to the rest of the family. I've wanted to do this for years and have tried different methods. Everything turned out to be too much trouble, and the quality of the photos was very poor. The Imagelife slide and negative scanner is what I need. I am absolutely thrilled and can recommend it unreservedly!
