I just installed it so can't comment on its durability. But I'm sure it will solve my irritated headache every time I open the closet. Previous owners installed pull out wire baskets which didn't help. They weren't wide enough for our pans and our tower of pots fell over when we pulled out the drawer. My non-stick pans got scratches from nesting, plus we had to pull everything out if we wanted any of the larger pots or pans on the bottom. And forget about regularly replacing clean pots and pans! They were usually just added on top, in true Tetris style. This rack was very easy to set up once I pulled out the wire boxes. Seems pretty strong. Just be gentle with it. I've only had 2 problems so far. 1) The lower shelf for large pans slips out of position when pans are inserted. But it's easy to fix. 2) I would like to have another shelf. Then it would be perfect for me. If it works the way I think it does, I might buy another one for the casserole dish. I am worried that it cannot bear the weight of this heavy pottery.
