Review on 📱 Nite Ize Metal Steelie Magnetic Phone Socket - Additional Magnet for Enhanced Steelie Phone Mounting Systems by Reggie Higdem

This Steelie model I bought for my wife's phone case came with a steel plate and a separate magnet ring. The problem with this style design is that the magnet on the back of the ring has less attraction than the ring itself. This allows the plate to be attached to the back of the phone case while the ring remains detachable from the steel plate. If the ring is attached to something metallic, it will stay with that object as long as you remove your phone from it and walk away. We had this damn thing for a day before the magnetic ring went missing and we were left with a useless steel plate that did nothing to secure the phone to the mount. If you are considering buying a Steelie, DO NOT purchase a model with a mounting plate. This is a poorly thought out design that will end up costing you money. This is indeed a 1/2 star item but having used Steelies in the past I gave it 2 stars so my rating is a bit more serious than a 1 star would normally be. DO NOT BUY this version of Steelie.
