I have been using this type of backdrop for many years. One side looks like a flannel sheet while the other side has a smoother texture. I don't care which side you use, it just has to be tight. The key to a beautiful background that doesn't need adjusting is stretching on all four sides. The only problem is that the material stretches over time. The actual position is ridiculous! It is light but the quality is very poor. I would have gladly paid a little more and added a few pounds to the weight to improve posture and make the material stretchy. The carrying case is only for storing the stand and one backdrop. It would be nice if you could accommodate at least two people there. In general, this is much better than carrying around a roll of paper and a mechanism for hanging it.
