These luggage racks are ridiculously too stiff - my 2000 Jeep TJ Wrangler's tailgate glass wouldn't even move let alone close when they were installed and it would shatter if I tried harder - just to be clear, all I had to do was install a new brace to completely immobilize my roller shutter glass. I then removed the new rack and tried to put all my weight on it to compress it (I'm over 250lbs) and it barely moved - useless product.
