The board was purchased for several very direct reasons: 1) Wanted to use Ryzen 3000 series chips 2) Didn't need Gen 4 PCI-E 3) I wanted it to work out of the box on all 3 . Great. I paired this board with a Ryzen 5 3600. Since it was a "Max" model, no BIOS update was required. I plugged in my chip, turned on the included AMD Wraith Spire cooler and it was up and running. I even went into the BIOS and did a quick overclock just to check. Increased the frequency of the processor to 3.8 GHz, no problem. Super quick and easy. My XPG SX8200 m.2 drive was also recognized immediately. Plugged in my USB drive, installed Windows and after that the board automatically chose m.2 as the boot drive. I have absolutely no complaints. If you're looking for a B-series motherboard to use a Ryzen 3000-series chip (I'd recommend sticking with the 3900X and below. The VRM might not like the 3950X) and get it working without any additional issues, if so is a solid choice. Choice and reasonable price.
