Wow! Computers and Tablets

This is an amazing little computer. It does exactly what its performance makes you think, in a small footprint. I particularly like the hinged lid, which makes accessing the interior remarkably easy, although I wonder if there's an internal battery that will need to be replaced at some point in the distant future that will be difficult to replace. OTOH, maybe they do a supercap CMOS battery backup or some other method that doesn't require a battery. Two bells and whistles: First, out of the box, you can't use a hotkey to enter the BIOS. No big deal: the BIOS is easily accessed using normal Win 10 recovery features, and once the BIOS settings are adjusted to no longer hide the boot screen, the hotkey (DEL by default) works fine. Second, the instruction manual. This is the worst thing I've ever seen on an electronic device. Is always. Quite apart from an illegible 1 or 2 point font, it doesn't say anything useful, that is, nothing that you couldn't already see from the connections and symbols on the case. So when setting this up and getting it working, it's best to be an experienced computer builder with good access to Google, otherwise you're going to have a lot of frustration. (Honestly I haven't tried calling support, maybe that would be great and would fix any issues.) But beware: unless you're a beginner, it's a dream to set up. I haven't checked whether the box is Win 11 compatible yet, according to the specs it should be, and if not, I assume a BIOS update will be coming soon.

Pros
  • 2 RJ45 ports
Cons
  • too dumb
