I put a bunch of music on this thing, and I will admit that I barely use the thing, but so far I have only charged it once, and it's been sitting there for a long time on the shelf, and still reports a full battery. I took it apart to see the innards, looking for any major design flaws, and it doesn't appear to be that poorly engineered, either. The UI is a nightmare to navigate, changing some of the controls you'd expect from an ipod clone device to be different just for the sake of making it different. The center click button, which you'd expect to work like an enter button in the main UI is actually the back button, and the top menu button on the keypad is mapped to be the enter. It'd definitely be better if it had homebrew software on it.The screen is also nothing to write home about, I wouldn't use the video playback feature of this device at all, instead, I'd just opt to use it for its fairly decent audio output if you want a cheap MP3 player that you don't have to worry so much about getting damaged, thanks to the low price tag. It also might make a decent MP3 player for a child that you don't want to give some expensive, fancy device to, especially if they tend to break things!
