Review on πŸ’ͺ CCCEI Metal USB-C Desk Clamp Power Strip with Surge Protection - 6 Outlet, 500J, Large Desktop Mount Holder, 2 USB-A and PD USB C Port - Fits 1.8 inch Thick Tabletop Edge by Fock Dean

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Very good table supplement with surge protection.

CCCEI metal sockets are conveniently placed above the table, under it or even on the table leg. This helps keep electronic devices close while you use the table, and the tool-free installation makes installation easy. Just twist the knob to tighten. The clip mount fits any table edge up to 1.78" thick, and the clip can be slid from end to end, unlocking a pair of clips. The mounting clip holds the power strip firmly in place and is strong enough to stay in place even if power cords or appliances are unplugged. The 6ft power cord is thick and appears to be of good quality. In addition to six sockets, it has two USB-A and one USB-C port for charging various low-power devices. Even though the USB-C port is rated at 18W, I couldn't get more than 11.2W, and the USB-A ports were at 9W. Two outputs in the middle. I tried with more force than ever to plug a power cord into the outlet. I only use two medium outlets with 2 prong cords and adapters. It would be great if it supported at least 65W Power Delivery (PD) on USB-C. This allows you to charge many devices without the need for a power adapter. I would like a clip with a protective pad to protect the desk surface from scratches.

Pros
  • Made of heat resistant material and metal protection system. You don't have to crawl under the table to plug in the extension cord and it's perfect for cord management and proper spacing between each plug.
Cons
  • So-so
