They don't work at all for flip book animations.
These flip books didn't fit my sons at all. Since they're already bound, it's almost impossible to open them enough to create a flip book animation. You must be able to get the sides absolutely flat and perfectly aligned to draw animations. When my sons tried to unfold the pages to experiment and draw, the pages fell out. The only thing they're good for is probably small notepads, and even then I wouldn't recommend them. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone who wants to do flip book animation. Look for a set that has individual pages and individual binding pins.
