I've only shaved with feathers for years, but I'm starting to notice an awkward pattern. One razor lasts me a week of daily shaving, the other just two or three. With some I have even found that one side of the razor (eg side I) is significantly better than the other (side II). I just shaved my side this week and it was great. Page II was unbearable from the moment I tried it, so I quickly switched back to Page I. What explains this inconsistency? I wouldn't mind if it happened every now and then, but with varying degrees of sharpness on almost every razor (and in every razor!)? Let us. I could try Astra or just shave clean. But if you've had a similar experience, you're not crazy and you're not alone!
