I purchased a TRENDnet TEW-824DRU wireless router last July to extend my wireless coverage throughout my house. The cable modem/router provided by my ISP is fine for wireless devices next to the router, but terrible further away. TEW-824DRU is exactly what the doctor ordered. I put it in the middle of my living room, on top of my entertainment system. I have an ethernet connection to my home network, so after setting it up I connected my router to the network and, voila! - I have EXCELLENT WIRELESS CONNECTION throughout my house. I tested the internet speed on a laptop in my office a few rooms down from my living room and got a download speed of 50 megabits per second and an upload speed of 4MB. Wonderful. I barely got 5 Mbps with the cable modem/router. My sister had a similar issue - same ISP, same cable modem/router, so a few days ago I advised her to get a TEW-824DRU and she's seeing the same improvement in her whole house WiFi. We are big fans of TRENDnet routers. They work great and the price is right!
