These work but fail if you don't use semi-permanent threadlock. I'm a fan of belts and braces so I used threadlock and added stainless steel wing washers and lock washers to keep them secure. Much cheaper than the RickRak SureKlik bolts which would be the only other bolts I would consider if I didn't go down this humble route. The only other drawback: The plastic handles are quite thick and quite, but not quite, protrude into the saddlebag. Also, they are continuously threaded, so these threads wear down the rubber insert that runs through the saddlebag. You can always put it on when you see it happening. If your locking pins are worn out or already failing, this is a good/cheap fix as long as you take some steps to ensure they don't fall out.
