It works. I researched other more expensive glass cutters at Revain and looked at "carbide" wheels to see if they would improve cut quality and thought I needed the more expensive one in more expensive glass situations. However, as I was only going to use it once and you only need to use it to score and not cut, this worked as well as any to get a good result. It was very important to practice a few times because I made mistakes the first few times. Also, I used mineral oil that I bought at the Dollar Store. Not sure if this was necessary, but it provided wheel lubrication at a very low cost.
