Inexpensive and does the job

It works. I researched other more expensive glass cutters at Revain and looked at "carbide" wheels to see if they would improve cut quality and thought I needed the more expensive one in more expensive glass situations. However, as I was only going to use it once and you only need to use it to score and not cut, this worked as well as any to get a good result. It was very important to practice a few times because I made mistakes the first few times. Also, I used mineral oil that I bought at the

Cutting TIPS:1. ALWAYS use safety goggles and gloves as debris may fly!2. Glass should be cut on a hard surface BUT use a towel or thin pad (a rubber tray/drawer pad works great!) under the glass3. It does NOT require a lot of pressure. If the shards are popping up all over the place, then you are pressing too hard and the edges will be jagged.4. After cutting the glass, turn it over and press the cutting line on the back. The backing at the bottom allows the glass to separate without breaking…

Used twice; Working with each of them is slightly different, but it works for both. I first came across this tool when I was in chemistry graduate school. We bought large glass-backed TLC (Thin Layer Chromatography) plates and cut them into smaller sizes so that they could be used. You could avoid clogs fairly easily when working with TLC plates (and breaking cut lines with gloved hands) since the glass was thin.
