This microphone is great fun for little performers without being too loud. The loudest volume will not drown out other things in the house. It's a mic you can hear up close, it doesn't invade the house, but it delivers just enough sound to be fun to play with. It records, plays recordings, has voice effects and even an applause button. The microphone also has soft flashing lights at the base that give a sense of stage effects. My four-year-old daughter can use the microphone without having to keep asking me for help. Buttons and on-screen graphics make it easy for her to navigate through the microphone options. It's lightweight, looks and feels like a real microphone, and is also durable. It's also wireless if you don't want to plug it in to play songs. I cannot recommend this mic enough. It's easy to use, easy to carry, and best of all, it's not annoyingly loud!
