Review on UL Listed AIMS Power 3000W Pure SINE Inverter: 12VDC to 120VAC Conversion Efficiency by Tyler Bonnell

Block AIMS solved some problems

I have a volt electric car that I use to power my house when I experience a power outage. My previous 1500w Ramsond inverter gave me a couple of big problems: The Volt keeps the 12v battery running all the time using a DC/DC converter that uses a high voltage traction battery. However, sometimes the inverter would reach just over 15V, which is above the maximum input voltage for most inverters, including the Ramsond. This shut down the inverter. The AIMS block allows an input voltage of up to 16V, so there is no problem. My fridge, although a newer energy efficient model, was running on the compressor(s) and the power surge caused the inverter to shut down. A pulse power of 3000W should have been enough to cover this, but it didn't. AIMS does not have this problem. I've used it about 4 times, up to 3 hours with no problems, and so far it's been perfect. Whether it will fail prematurely, who knows, but so far so good. Couldn't be happier, especially at this price. There are well-known models from Samlex and Xantrex, but they cost more or more. If it lasts, it's absolutely perfect. If anyone is worried, I understand that I can't get about 2000 watts of power out of the Volt without exceeding the capacity of the Volt converter. Edit: Guess what happened after another 7 months of use - - still amazed. If I use it 1 or 2 times a week, it powers my TV and DVR, fridge, router, cordless phone base station and thermostat. Never had a problem before.
