Review on Nikon COOLPIX S6500 Wi-Fi Digital Camera with 12x Zoom in Red by Maya Allen

I've had this little multifunctional workhorse for two years and a month. I scaled down the full size cameras just for convenience. I'm blue from lugging tons of lenses and other accessories on vacation. It looks like I worked for the camera, not the other way around. It's not my first point-and-shoot, but it's (was) the most feature-rich. The photos were good and the HD movies look great on the big TV. The Tele also deserves respect. Yesterday I went for a full walk with my family and took some photos and videos. They are safe on a 32GB card. Unfortunately, the camera fell asleep when viewing the contents of the map and does not turn on at all. The batteries will charge and if the PC has power, only the green charge light will flash while charging. I can't bring the little camera to life. Reset buttons etc. No. I have a dead camera stuck. I've always been careful with my cameras, so I'm surprised. It's basically a disposable camera I think. There I have other accessories for this camera, like four batteries, an HD cable, a case and a 120 volt charger. I decided to replace it with an identical model from Revain but this time repaired at a lower cost than this one. I got lucky with the refurbished item. Only this time I'm buying a two-year extended warranty! Nuts and Bolts: I'm discouraged by the early demise of this NIKON camera. Did I say "NIKON"? A great camera name for decades, but perhaps no better than other brands. Can I recommend this particular model (now out of production)? May be. If it works, it's great.
