These boots are great but I gave them 4 stars because they didn't fit well. I ordered a size 7 for my 70lb American Bulldog and probably should have ordered a size 6. The boots slide easily over his paws, but the straps are too long and there is too much material getting in the way of the straps. from being pushed completely against his legs. American Bulldogs have larger paws and thinner legs, so a size 7 may work differently for a different breed. The boots are definitely thick, waterproof and warm, but because there is so much fabric at the top next to the straps and the inability to fully tighten it, snow gets into the boot. Most importantly, the boots protect my dog's paws and claws! (He breaks his nails very often and gets cuts and tears on his paws).
