holds up very well. It is extremely durable as the outer shell is made from a single piece of steel. You simply step on the lever between the body and the top rubber to release the doorstop. Mine was starting to get stuck so I sprayed some WD40 on the top and center so it dripped in and that solved the problem. Another problem is that the rubber part on the bottom wears out over time. This is partly my fault as I let it wobble and got caught on the bottom rubber piece (the bottom isn't level) and this eventually wore out the rubber. However, I just bought some of these rubber stool/chair leg covers from a local hardware store and put them on top of the leftover rubber and they have worked well so far.
