Review on Hammer.JS by Phil Kowal

Great alternative to jquery mobile and others

It's easy enough for beginners, but has all of those great options that allow you greater control over how it works with different browsers/screen sizes; I don't have any specific dislikes about this tool other than maybe if there was an easier way (other then just writing some JavaScript) or something more intuitive when using its API in terms of understanding what is going wrong during development phase? So far so good! Have used many javascript tools such as jQuery Mobile before coming across hammerjs which allows me focus even at times where my HTML skills are lacking - since most things can be done through CSS alone now-a days without having html elements being created manually by hand etc..

Pros
  • It seems easier then other javascript tools for me to focus on the overall process of building things without needing to focus on the details of the DOM and styling
Cons
  • Maybe a bit overwhelming for beginners with how much functionality it provides?
