I'm glad I bought this!

I was looking for a decent external hard drive bay as I work in IT and sometimes need to connect a non booting drive to extract files from it. I have recently purchased other SSK products and the customer service is fantastic. Their products are exclusively designed/built. Super easy to use. Plug in the power, plug in the USB (unless you're trying to clone one drive to another) and turn it on. PC reads discs without hesitation. The LEDs on the front are very easy to understand. When switched on, the green LED lights up. When the hard disk is accessed, the blue LED lights up. No activity (after a period of time) and the blue LED turns off. The data transfer speed is excellent. I have no complaints. I would have preferred a USB-C connection, but maybe they will release this model later. If you just want to clone one drive to another, it couldn't be easier! Simply connect power, insert the source drive in Bay A and the target drive in Bay B. Turn on the dock and press (and hold) the clone button on the back of the device until some LEDs on the front start blinking . Each LED (when lit) represents the percentage of the cloning process complete. After the cloning process is complete, all LEDs will be solid (green, red, yellow, orange). From there, simply turn off the dock and remove your drives. The only changes I would make to this device are: β€’ Button placement: I would have preferred the clone button to be placed on the front of the device. I'd prefer both, but I can live with the power button on the back. But I understand why they were in the back because it looks prettier. So that's just my personal preference. Eject button: Previous external bay docks that I've had had some sort of simple "eject" button to eject drives from the bays they were in. to prevent the disc from being mishandled and possibly damaged in any way. You have to remember to hold the drive by the sides (since these are the strongest points of the drive itself). β€’ Connection Type: As I said above, I would like to see a USB-C connection. But definitely NOT a deal breaker for me. All in all a great product from SSK. I will continue to buy from them!
