Review on 🚪 Eufy Security Wi-Fi Video Doorbell: HD 1080p, No Monthly Fee, Local Storage, Human Detection by Marcus Merritt

We've had the Ring doorbell since it came out. I was unhappy with a few things and tired of paying for cloud recording, so I decided to buy a Eufy video intercom before renewing my Ring subscription. I have several Eufy products and have had very good experiences with them so far. Unfortunately, Eufy's video doorbell just isn't entirely satisfactory. When evaluating the product, I installed the Eufy next to the ring for comparison. Pros: + No issues with 1080p resolution. Image quality is very good + For notifications, a close-up of the face when a person is detected at the door. It's really beautiful!+ Motion is detected and recording starts when the subject is still far away. This is where Eufy Ring is definitely superior. Cons: - Physically, the installation didn't cause any problems, but the app was definitely not easy or intuitive. - Although Eufy starts recording motion earlier than Ring, notifications are significantly slower. The BIGGEST problem is the traffic report. Ring definitely wins there. I really like that I can get a bunch of barking dogs out of my beep when motion is detected. The Eufy call does not notify the movement at all. I called Eufy support thinking I misconfigured it, but got a rather indifferent response that the feature just isn't offered. The only traffic message is a short "ding" on your phone. This was supposed to be a simple software fix, but based on the answers I've received I doubt this will ever happen. Actually, I'm a bit devastated by this error. We have a lot of deliveries and they almost never ring. This renders the Eufy video intercom unusable. It's all too easy to overlook the Eufy app's inadequate notifications. I don't think the support team could do anything about it, but their bad attitude sealed the deal. I think we'll renew our subscription to Ring after all.
