So far, so good. for office electronics
I only use it to scan comics into my laptop but I've had it for a few months now (received it in September 2014), use it from time to time and haven't had any problems with it. It's not too harsh either, but I wish the cable was a bit longer. Otherwise, it's intuitive, feels good in the hand, is lightweight, and is ready to use as soon as you plug it in. No complaints so far and happy to update if anything changes.
