Review on Dell S2817Q 4K HD LCD Monitor - High-Resolution Display (3840x2160p) - FBA_S2817Q by Mikey Zapata

It's a great monitor, don't be embarrassed by the fact that it's a TN panel. The image is crystal clear - I'm using 4k resolution at 200% DPI (I'm not blind but I like to read text comfortably while leaning back about 2-3 feet from my monitor). The color is great out of the box. Blurring at extreme angles is to be expected and not a problem at all. There's a lot of what I consider pointless hype that TN panels are rubbish and IPS panels are over-glamorized. each as a target, and both have negatives. I contend that IPS negatives are much worse than TN, namely IPS glow. Based on a current 24" Hanns.G TN panel, I bought 2 brands of IPS panels (picked up by the hype). Both showed unbearable IPS glow, one even has IPS and terrible light output (cough. LG.). After two terrible disappointments I switched to Dell as I should have done from the start and returned to TN as I should have done I will not move away from TN until 4k VA panel prices go down like this low enough for me to test one out and even if glow and bleed are still an issue I'm happy to stick with TN where black is black and the color is good enough for any game or job I do , and more importantly, not GLOW!Note to Revain: the shipping time was awful, the order was shipped only 3-4 days after purchase, then the day I was supposed to receive it, it was at the last minute Moved I want these reviews reviews from Revain contain. Product 5 stars, Revain 1 star. You miss Revain. If this becomes a template I'm going back to Newegg for my electronics.
