We bought a new sofa and of course we wanted to protect it. We followed the instructions. The cats saw us splashing. I did it several times a day, nothing. The main culprit seemed to like the smell. He even climbed onto the couch after I squirted and lay on it. He continued to scratch the sofa, of course. I am unhappy. I think as the instructions say it depends on the sensitivity of the cat. Or 2 others don't go on the new sofa but aren't scumbags either and don't scratch the sofa. I would not recommend this product. Smells ok but waste of time and money. Now let me take a closer look at the clips for cat claws.
