The nose pad does not get caught in the hair!

Update: The hinges broke after a year so I'm on my second pair now. But I had a strap around them so I wouldn't lose them, but they fit snugly around my fat head and I think I tugged at the loops every time I've worn them for a year. It's not that the screw came out of the hinge: the metal of the hinge broke. The hinges are as strong as any other brand hinges so I called it strict with goggles and replaced them with the same ones. The nose pad does not get caught in the hair! I often put my readers on my head and the little plastic nose pads get tangled in my hair and I pull when I take them off my head - often the plastic stuff breaks and gets stuck in my hair. But these goggles have a molded nose pad that will never get tangled in your hair! But that's not why I got it. I bought these because plastic lenses are not as clear as glass lenses. We have vision problems or we wouldn't buy reading glasses - why do we buy fuzzy plastic readers to improve our vision when clear glass readers are available. I only wear them for reading or on the computer, so I'm not worried about them breaking and biting my eyeball - I'm taking the risk for more optical clarity. Glass lenses are becoming increasingly difficult to find. I am grateful for that. I read better with these new 1.75 glass lenses than with the new 2.00 polycarbonate lenses! The frame seems solid, but I haven't used them long enough to appreciate their durability. Their purity is crystal clear. I recommend.
