5x was smaller than my 3x.
I have multiple pairs of these shorts in 3x, 4x and they fit great! The 3x is a little snug, 4x fits great. 5x I expected would give me a little more room however they are smaller than my 3x and They won’t fit over my thighs. Not sure if they changed sizes in the last year but I really liked these shorts and with they would keep true to size.
Pros
- A bit heavier and longer than I like, but will be OK look for fall.
Cons
- Limited breathability, leading to sweating and discomfort
