I have tried several other replacement grommets and they all had similar problems.1. The flange gasket was small and could leak because it did not seal the spout on the can2. The diameter of the interchangeable tube allowed the movement of the threaded nut, making it almost impossible to ensure tightness3. The quality of the threaded nut - it cracks/chips and needs to be replaced within a few times of filling. The nose fits snugly into the nut, and the flange gasket is much wider (and thicker), requiring less torque to tighten and create a tight seal. I would recommend these if you are looking for a leak proof spout. I only gave it 4 stars because I don't know the durability of the nut and the fact that it doesn't have a larger diameter nut like some older cans. But in general, a worthy replacement for the spout.
