Review on 🧡 Dritz Clothing Care 82626 Darning Egg, Black: The Perfect Tool for Mending and Sewing Clothing" by Doris Tran

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Damn good darning tool

How about a darning egg? I moved in (two years ago but am still trying to search the boxes for a significant reduction) and have yet to find my previous darning egg. After collecting about 5 pairs of socks that required darning one or both socks and repairing holes in clothing and other fabrics, I decided to just buy a new egg. I like the handle on this darning egg because it gives me more control over the fabric without the egg wiggling or moving. Compared to my old version of the egg, the handle is a huge improvement and I tend to use it for all things hand sewing, like backstitching armholes on a t-shirt where the seam has just opened up and easier to hand sew than close pull is off. An old sewing machine overstitches an inch or two. I can sew a hole by hand faster than winding a bobbin! So think (or should I say "sewing") outside the box (or socks) to use this darning stuffer, as the handle makes it so much more versatile. I hope this review is helpful. Let me know if you have any questions.
