They are very stiff out of the box so open and close them a few times and they straighten out quickly. I used them to pull the framing wire out of some beehive frames. The grips are okay, not particularly comfortable or ergonomic, but they do the job. Where I photograph a star is that a pair of them are very distinct from the others. The teeth hardly ever catch on this thing's nose, and the cutter doesn't work. Taking the same piece of wire and trying to grab it by cutting it on the opposite side with another pair works fine. I don't care about money.
