This product was recommended to me by my daughter's orthodontist to clean her retainers. This is not a good product for those sensitive to strong chemical flavors. We used this to clean her retainers and she was unable to use them that night due to a burning sensation in her mouth after soaking and rinsing them out completely. It also did not remove plaque that had built up on the retainers. I researched further and found that soaking mouthpieces in vinegar or baking soda can be done with water and is more natural and kills germs to the same extent.
