Despite reading negative reviews about the BackBone, including poor quality, I still ordered the product. I received my BackBone in brand new condition and it turned out to be a solidly built product with quality design and workmanship. However, I was still troubled by reviews that suggested the BackBone didn't survive shipping when properly set up with golf clubs in a golf bag. When I packed my clubs in my golf bag, I covered the irons and fairway metals with club covers and then used bubble wrap to add extra protection to the clubs and to fill in the gaps between the clubs and the backbone. Then I attached the golf bag cover and put it in the Bag Boy holdall. In this configuration, the BackBone was stationary and in a fixed position, protecting my bag and racquet from hitting the top of the bag as intended. After two flights, my clubs and BackBone arrived safe and sound, along with my golf bag and clubs, just as I packed them.
