Impressive, but— on my review.
I like this idea. It’s unique, impressive, fairly lightweight, and has the potential to being awesome. The problem, you ask? The striker sux. If you have a good carbon steel knife, it throws sparks. If you have a good striker, it does the same. So I’m throwing away the striker and carrying on. I think maybe I could have just bout the add on rope and been just as good.
- If you’re going to buy the magnesium fire starter this is by far the best one.
- Unsuitable for use with wet or damp materials
