I confess I have no experience with other capture cards. In fact, the price of other capture cards was enough to make me feel like the ability to capture footage from older consoles wasn't available to me. I wanted to record videos from the original Xbox. Of course, the original Xbox doesn't have an HDMI output, so I needed a converter first (I used Pound's). After removing the HDMI from this converter, I hooked it up to a video capture device and here it is. That was all except I had to download OBS. Exactly what I wanted and easy to set up and record. In fact, it was several minutes. I'm sure other more expensive cards have more features or less lag, but I've had no problems playing Xbox games, even with the ability to run fast events like the normal one. If there was a delay, I didn't notice it. I wholeheartedly recommend this. Disclaimer: I've only had it for a few days, so whether it's prone to breaking or anything like that after a while I don't know, but there's nothing yet that makes me think it'll happen. .
