Love it! We were looking for a night light that wasn't so bright that it would light up the room, but not so dim that it would strain our eyes for late-night reading. Even the lamps, which we found good, still required you to change your position in bed to reach out and turn off the light to wake you up! Doesn't that spoil the importance of the bedtime reading lamp? When I saw this article I REALLY hoped it would be what we were looking for. Much to my delight, this item arrived BEFORE the estimated time. It was in perfect condition and was used immediately, only a light bulb (40 watts) was required. This is a great light for reading at night! This is a new favorite in our house! It easily fits over the edge of the headboard which I was afraid would be too thick. It provided a good amount of light for reading without being overwhelming. The lampshade gave off a soft, warm light. The power cord was long enough to reach the nearest outlet. The hanger of this lamp has a transparent tube on a stiff wire to protect the headboard. The lampshade is light cream, although it seems they also sell a shade of green (make sure you order the correct colour). The on/off cord on our device is a little tight when pulled, but it's conveniently located so it can be turned off without much movement. Very functional, efficient, attractive reading lamp.
